I bought a hand held steamer, completely good brand. It's worse than useless. The steam is really strong but it doesn't hit the surface I'm trying to verbs. It puffs right into the air and I might as okay be cleaning with cold river and a little sponge. Anyone give an account me what I'm doing wrong?

Answers:    I had exactly one and the same problem with a Conair that I purchased and returned. Mine even sputtered and gone water spots on sheer drapes when I tried to draw from closer to have the steam gain access to the fabric. Return it, you are probably doing zilch wrong if you followed the instructions.
