For us, it's the top rack. That's where we put glasses and plastic bowls that our kids use. Waiting to compress the bottom rack, with pans, plates and bowls, is usually what keep us from starting a wash cycle
I start at bottom then I fill the top We do it only like you do---top first.
I do a dishwasher nouns every day, whether its full or not. I have different cyles and I do a lite rinse if I only have it partly full. I don't like leaving dirty dishes sitting surrounded by there, the dishwasher takes on an odor and stinks and make me unhappy. so, to keep me cheerful, I run some kind of a cyle every day. sometimes i run a cylce next to just w hite vinegar and sometimes with newly baking soda. hate dishes, don't you? good luck we saturate it same as you and same as other answer if not full on bottom run cycle on light nouns
