Are parts readily available or are service call rare for respectively? I want a dishwasher that will last longer than their American counterparts of 5 yrs+. Where should I purchase a Bosch or Miele dishwasher?

I work for an appliance company and we vend both. If your dishwasher is installed by a certified Miele installer, you get an extra year on your warranty.

They are also just as muffled (if not quieter) than the bosch.

Also, look into an Asko dishwasher. They all come beside 3 years manufacturers warranty. We hold both a Miele and an Asko dishwasher in our live kitchen, and I in actual fact prefer the Asko over the Miele. It's EXTREMELY quiet! We don't even obligation to pre wash our dishes, even if they enjoy hard, dried on oatmeal. It comes right past its sell-by date.
