Does it make a difference contained by the life of the shirt? Will it hold up longer if it's buttoned? Unbuttoned?
Answers: I usually head off my buttoned. It helps hold the shape of the shirt, and I find that it is easier on the buttons.
I unbutton mine. If you don't, the material around the button pulls against the thread to be exact holding the button on the shirt, and it stretches out the button hole.
