...but what's with adjectives the settings on washers? Are you supposed to use them all? How do you carry clothes their brightest, freshest, and smelling wonderful?

I use Tide with Downy or you can buy the downey seperately. Once you do this you'll never jump to the other brands. You'll love how your clothes feel and smell. Tide is a incredibly strong detergent.
Seperate your laundry by color and by how you use them.
put your whites{undershirts} in one device wash contained by hot water
put your underwear within one machine, seperate by color if you own to. I always pretreat stains next to SHOUT. wash within warm dampen, or hot if all your underwear is white or restrained colors [i.e. sky blue]
When washing my bras, especially underwire, I approaching to put them in a mesh aterial sack with a zipper. This keep the machine from ruining suitable bras and keeps your bra contained by shape.
Pretreat your bras with SHOUT for underarm stains , if any and clear up in heat up water.
What your shadows colors and jeans in one device. I turn the jeans inside out to keep the color from vanishing. These can be washed contained by warm wet but if they are prone to fading I suggest cold or perm press cycle [perm press is lukewarm dampen for delicate materials]
When wash sheets, I always recommend wash them in hot hose down and bleach if you can. It's important to consistantly bathe your sheets and pillowcases.
If they are darker contained by color wash contained by warm hose down and use Color Safe Bleach from clorox.
When drying your clothes you can dry everything on high except, Sweaters and clothing that might shrink or de-ice.
