if it's the OUTSIDE, there's a home remedy---ketsup? or something---can't remember---I simply use a metal coil sponge thing & ajax or tide powder or dawn gooey or whatever's handy to scrub it away.
cover the bottom of the jar with water tag on 2 tbsp of Cream of Tartar and bring to boil ,let it stand until cooled and this should loosen any burned food from he pan.l I own found if you put vinegar and plenty of salt, let it sit next scrub repeat as necessary it will help loosen the food. Hope this help.
you can use jammy off oven cleaner. spray all over and permit sit for an hour and clean with a scrub sponge or wad. rinse with plenty of water and dust as usual. you can clean your baking sheets the same track. best done when the pans are hot. Leave it to soak in completely hot water and laundry soda. You could also use biological laundry powder or dishwasher powder. Do not use any of these though if your pan is made of aluminium.
