i have 3 boys, ages 7, 3, 2. i also own tons of clothes that they arent wearing right now. most of them are clothes that they will wear, or i should voice, will fit them in the adjectives. like the up comming years. mostly clothes my 7 year feeble has grown out of and the 3 and 2 year prehistoric will eventually fit into...
my question is this, how much would you preserve??
right now i own a closet that is approx 4 ft long, and have 3 shelves in it,(that run down the closet) plus the floor. and the whole entity is FULL of clothes.
it aggrivates me to know that i could be using that space for other storage (we dont have much for storage space) but i dont know if i should throw that stuff out or maintain it...
what would you do?
If it's stuff you don't want, vend it on ebay or give it to Goodwill. It it's stuff you want to set free, buy those big plastic storage bags that you swarm with clothes and after suck the air out of beside a vacuum hose. It will compress the clothes and make them easier to store. They deal in the bags at Walmart.
I would rent an inexpensive storage closet if you really want to preserve the clothes.
However, personally I'd simply donate the clothes. You're going to be dealing with the mess for years previously they become useful.
Answers: I would keep some and be immensely careful what, within great condition, and not too much. Unfortunately it's hard to update you exactly how much because we don't know how much other stuff you have, and how much storage space you enjoy.
One touchy feely point to bring out is that if you give to the universe within times when you have more, the universe will bless you when you hold less. Someone else can really USE those clothes right very soon and letting them go, even if it's freshly to get them out of your house, will be notice by the Powers that Be. Even if you don't owe anybody anything, it is still a little uncharitable to hoard it for yourself...and a shame to hold on to them if it is actually cluttering your house within the process.
It also depends on how important this is to you vs how much you requirement to hold on to something else. You might want to pan out on the bigger picture and look at adjectives your keep items, do an adjectives over declutter, and see what is left to store. Maybe within the process you will find enough space to hold all the clothes until it's time to pick through and fine tune.
One entry to consider with kids clothes, is that even if you are dealing near same sex sibs or unisex clothes, they might not hit that size in the season of the garment. What appropriate is a winter collection that he grows into in July? So when the time comes adjectives that planning was for zilch. This may require you to do some projecting and predicting with the clothes you hold, and see if you can make some as expected accurate plans. They still might be derailed by your childrens' unique growth spurts.
OR lately save stuff that layer, or is year round appropriate like jeans and shoes and teeshirts. Again, those things contained by the best of shape, easiest to maintain and store, that you really enjoy seeing your kids in the first time around.
