I bought a used GS vest want to take number patch but always residue or gum used after ironing it on. What would be a recommendation of late throwing it into washing contraption or something else?
You can try fingernail polish remover, which may dissolve any glue residue. Also, Lighter fluid will dissolve glue. I have used acetone on white cotton when I spilt a bottle of staple polish on myself and yes I had to work at it but it did remove adjectives of the polish and the stain. It didn't harm the material, I am not sure of the removal of color in the vest. Might try it on a token of fabric such as an mature shirt or towel. I have used Lighter fluid to dissolve glue as well, consequently use a grease/oil pre-treatment on it before you wipe up it.

Try Goo Gone, make sure you check first and see if it will stain the yard goods. The label does read out it can be used on clothing. After using it I would just stick it surrounded by the washer.

You can probably buy this stuff at Lowes, Ace Hardware, or Home Depot.
Answers:    I've had some luck, angelic and bad, getting those patch off. The easiest piece to do is to sew on new numerals over the older goop.

Other things that work, depending on the goop:

1. Goo gone
2. Some you can just coat off.
3. Heat - sometimes you can boil up the vest in a dryer, and pick it rotten. Sometimes you can put a rag over the goop, and iron the goop onto the cloth.

But this whole iron on row makes me cranky. They never stay on when you want 'em, and the goop make it hard to recycle vests approaching we used to.
