I am helping a couple friends clean this house. The woman who used to live there did not thieve care of it. There is built up icky stuff (i dont even know what it is lol) every where on the counters. We own tried using a steamer, grease lightening(sp*), Clorox, and Odoban. Its helping but not completely getting it off the counter. What do you suggest?
Answers: Your could try undiluted orange cleaner. Buy the stuff from the cleaning supply shop and not the diluted stuff from the supermarket. Spray it on dapper or paint it on and then use a brush, especially if the tops of the cupboards are textured
It should work, I used this when I moved into my house and had to do similar things around the cook-top - it be really thick and disgusting - you may have to repeat it a few times but I have a sneaking suspicion that you will most likely see quite an revival
