What is/do you enjoy a house keeping schedual? I am looking to get into a good routine of cleaning house...
I am looking to get into a good routine of cleaning house for a small two br apt. With two pets I pretty much own to vacume every day but after that it is up for grabs. No DW or laundry surrounded by apt. Would love to hear how you keep up with things and ANY TIME SAVING tips are really appreciated!
Answers: On Mon - I "Reset" the house pick everything odd & sort out laundry. (I do one load each daylight.) I also clean out the fridge (including wiping down the shelves) because the trash runs Tuesday morning. Other each day chores like dishes, sweep as needed, etc.
Tues - I do ceilings - wipe down spider web, clean fan blades, and the globes on fixtures occasionally as needed. Light pick up and on a daily basis chores.
Wed - dust all surfaces. Light pick up and daily chores.
Thurs - verbs windows, other glass & bathrooms. I use micro fiber rag instead of paper towels. Less waste, smaller amount mess to clean up as you go, and once the cloth gets saturated, smaller amount cleaner - I use a second rag to dry. I make sure as I depart the room to wipe off light switches and the middle of the door frames where on earth hands reaching for the switches start leaving the most dirt. I verbs most things in the bathroom with cup cleaner (shines) so adding bathrooms on this day works for me. When I first meander in, I spray an orange grease based cleaner on the bottom of the tub, then use the toilet brush contained by the commode, then start cleaning everything else with cup cleaner and a few separate rags. When I'm done, I use a scrub brush in the tub really high-speed & rinse. I usually also carry a bottle of febreeze with me through the house & spray everything yard goods. Light pick up and daily chores.
Fri - I take a brush (the ones that come near dustpans) and brush off baseboards. Then sweep, mop & vaccuum all of the floors. Light pick up and day by day chores.
Cleaning goes really fast this style because you are not carrying a bunch of cleaners. By keeping to this pattern, it is no big deal if I miss one week, and everything stays really verbs because it is cleaned (almost) every week which means no time needed to scrub anything.
Monday - Clean KITCHEN & MOP THE FLOOR
Tuesday - I go to supermarket & organzie cabinet
Wednesday - CLEAN BACKYARD & clean dog house
Thursday - Laundry day
Friday - Dust, Clean Mirrors
Saturday - I afford the bath tub a good scrubing near some bleach
Sunday - I rest
