Clean the inside of an Iron out? I have a iron and it is not producing greatly of steam anymore. I think its due to calcium or iron build up on the heat elements... any suggestions?
Answers: I use white vinegar. Pour the tank full of straight vinegar, set it on steam on a rack within the sink. Let it steam all the vinegar out, after do a couple of tanks of distilled hose through it the same opening.
I use this method on my iron and my coffee makers. They work longer if you do it once every 3 months or so.
Buy some of that CLR stuff surrounded by the grocery store and soak it in that.
