The previous answers are correct in that it has zilch to do with radiation. Hepa filters verbs the air from particles, dirt, and odors. Air purifiers can work great to relieve with these air contaminants. In certainty, I bought one from http://www.firstairpurifier.com and it works great! Good luck to you!

Has nothing at adjectives to do with radiation. "HEPA", I do not know the exact terminology HOWEVER:
High Efficiency Particles ----"something". It really does use a large voltage electrical field to "suck" very tiny particle out of the air that passes through it. Some of the filter are just "filters". Others use high voltage to see a special filter to Ionize the passing dust/spores, etc., to get them out of the heavens.

When shopping for these things go to the Consumer Reports site to find out which ones work and which ones are just fake!

Answers:    We have used HEPA Filtration surrounded by our products for years. They are a very fine filter that offers up to 99.999 % success of filtering out the specific pollutants. They work on the same supposition as your home filters in your house - nouns passes through them and the particles are caught. Big trick is - if it bypasses the filter it leaves merely as dirty.
But more importantly, it sounds like you're wondering what they are used for - in home use would be contained by a smokers home, a person with allergies, someone who fries plentifully - someone with pets, etc. Anywhere that you really want to get a better filtration of your nouns. Be careful when just installing them contained by your furnace/ac - the best ones can reduce the speed the air going through your section. Make sure it's one that your mfg recommends.
