Answers:    Natural fibers will adopt dye and absorb it more so than synthetic fabric.

Acrylic is a form of polyester. You won't get great results dying it, but since you're going from a lighter color to such a dusk color, a couple applications should do the trick.

Just be prepared with the possibility of the outcome not anyone favorable. Anytime you dye a garment on your own its impossible to know if the results will be what you expect.

Good luck!
