i'm washing my clothes by hand contained by my bathtub in a prevailing conditions plastic tub i bought from target. What happens to the clothes if their being soaked within water and laundry detergent over night? mostly worried nearly molding and such,
usually dont leave over night to soak only just a bit tired tonight to rinse and hang and all that. live within apt dont have washing n dryer inside, trying to protected money from the laundromat.
Thanks ps people with actual experience if at all possible.
I let our washer full or clothes soak overnight once (our kitty had an luck in the laundry basket!). I completely forgot they be in there until the subsequent morning.

Yes, depending on what's in there, you might own some fading, but other than that, I be successful in my soaking! Everything came out juuuust fine :)
If the soap get rancid your clothes gain acidic ends up with smelly clothes even how not easy you wash-out with top water coz the germs has already proliferated it.

What I always do if that happen. I have a big caserole on my last bath I put my clothes there and heat it near the fabric softerner so that the bacteria will die eventually. I dont close to the smell of bleaches and also it would just ruin the color of my clothes.

Then dry hang after see it smells so flawless.

I do it also on socks of my husband when it smells funny.
iF YOUR USING JUST DETERGENT THEN NOTHING .IT WILL DO THEM GOOD TO SOAK OVERNITE IF YOUR WASHING BY HAND ANYWAYS. Don't worry, it wont mold overnight. It should be only fine.
Just overnight? They'll be fine. There won't be adequate time for them to go mouldy. The worst that can happened is the will be a bit cleaner from the extra soaking! Give the wash a good rinse and hang it out to dry.
(Been doing the wash for 30+ years both by hand and with a wash machine but never had a tumble dryer.) Soaking is fine, but overnight is plenty. Take it to the laundramat and "get 'er done", lest they'll stink!
nothing , no mold for a year..few days ...mold

nothing except they might come out cleaner from soaking. depends some might fade
Answers:    Soaking your laundry overnight should not do much more than get them especially clean. Unless you've added bleach to the mixture, you should merely have some exceptionally clean clothes. Just rinse thoroughly surrounded by the morning. My Grams used to soak all her laundry, but ESPECIALLY her whites overnight and she had the cleanest stuff on the block and NEVER have any problems with any molding. Good luck!
