I got a new dryer installed and the nativity guy said that the hose is getting old and is falling apart. He said if I notice problems to replace it. What munificent of problems is he talking about...my clothes not drying properly?

If your vent is leak you could have dust and lint in your house. If it is full, in theory the dryer could overheat and catch fire. That is the extreme of it, but it has happen. I think home depot has them . If the hose is broken next it won't move the lint out and it could build inside and cause a fire .
