What does a "normal" household look close to to you?
Lived in. I don't understand these stuffy, "Don't pace on the carpet!" homes. If you are that freaked out about footprints on your hearth rug all I can say is, "Breathe!" Theres no such entity as normal and you know it, everyone knows it!!
'Normal' to most people would be clean, but not resembling a museum-clean. Neat but with just adequate clutter to make it look like someone lives near. Not overwhelmed with stuff in every nook and cranny.
