Answers: depends on how often you verbs the carpets. if you do it more than four times a year i would say aloud get a runner cleaning machine to recover money. but a wet vac will not do as devout a job for cleaning carpet.
Are you doing the whole house? If so you should use a professional, their equipment is far stronger than the ones you can buy. Hiring a pro channel that your carpets will probably be dry contained by less than a light of day, if you DIY then since more hose is left at the back in the runner it will take longer. If you are single dealing with spots next yes, you can buy a machine and DIY. I enjoy a pro in nearly 2X a year and deal next to spots with my domestic device the rest of the year.
