Answers: You can use any type of disinfectant cloths such as oxy clean or Lysol. You can also use rubbing alcohol on a cloth. Do not drench your mattress with any cleaning agent - you can individual clean the outer nouns. You could prop it up outside to air out which might oblige with the smell but be sure to keep hold of it out of any type of moisture while outside (rain, snow, etc).
If these do not help, I suggest you purchase a up to date one.
Borax will get rid of the smell. Just fashion a paste of it and hose down, agitate lightly on the surface and permit it dry, vacuum up the powder when it is dry. You can also mist it with vinegar and hose down, but some people don't close to that vinegar smell while it is drying. You can also spray it with lysol or fabreeze.
