It is extremely hard and I hold tried scraping it sour but it won't budge. It might be something other than caulk but it be used to seal around the tub surround. I even tried paint thinner and that didn't work either. Thanks!
You can use a small butane torch, but you must be very painstaking not to catch fire to the surround or caulk.
Also they engineer a wondeful tool to remove old caulk, it can be found contained by the large Hardware stores approaching Home Depot or Lowe's. It's comes in a 90 level, 70degree and other angels with a double sharp turn-up and works extremely well for removing caulk.
Paint thinner will not serve you, it will just smell and possible stain or discolor the tub.
take hold of a hair dryer ur or spouse's.
turn on to low and slowly warmness up then use calking scraper to remove.
if low won't work use large .
Answers: Try some WD-40 spray and a scraper...
You may want to try a wood chisel and rubber mallet to "carve" (like a stone sculptor) the feeble caulk out. There are wood chisels with a V shaped blade that might work fairly well.
