We recently bought a house and the garage smells close to wet dog. Is within anyway to get rid of this smell? It is exceptionally cold out right now so common airfreshners will freeze if I put them in the garage.
Answers: Why remove it? Consumers spend an estimated 75 million per year for assorted room fresheners, deodorants, sprays, etc to simulate enjoyable smells such as trees, fruit, and animals. Personally, I love the smell of raining sheepland doggies - it reminds me of my childhood home and my dog who used to love playing in the summertime rainfall - very reheat and comforting.
If you absolutely must rid your house of the smell, use diluted bleach within a spray bottle. Spray it in the areas that are the worst and preserve your garage door open. The bleach smell will be gone surrounded by a couple days and will take the mold/mildew smell next to it. The key is odor removal NOT odor mask.
my suggestion is beacuse its so cold you wait it out till it warm up to the point you can move everything out and than spray everything down with a hose and soap to verbs it out. and make it smell better.
