I have a nice Electrolux vacuum cleaner that I get from a friend, it has done wonders on my mat and I wanted to use it verbs my couches and chairs. The only problem is that she didn't enjoy the attachments for it, so I guess I am going to use just the hose. Has anyone else vacuumed thier furniture beside just the hose and does it pick up a short time ago as well as it would beside the furniture attachment?

Answers: I have an Electrolux vacuum cleaner as powerfully, and to answer your question - no the hose does not pick up as ably on upholstered covered furniture without the attachments. (Don't use the vacuum cleaner on furniture if you own leather or anything similar - it may scratch / walk out unwanted marks)
The hose will pick up fairly loose things, but if it is pet fur and such the attachment near the brush on the end of it is what will assist to lift past its sell-by date the lint / pet fur that gets into the fibers of the furniture.
An opinion might be if you can take the upholstered cushions stale the couch / chair and conceivably try vacuuming the cushions that way till you can get hold of the attachments that make it is little bit easier.
Also, try looking on Ebay for the attachments - I know I enjoy found on Ebay vacuum bags made for my Electrolux and other items at a far better price than what I can purchase them around here for.
Additional: Yes, the hose should work clearly fine if it is dust and such.
It will work, but it will take more time.
