I heard fastener varnish removes silicon sealent from clothes. Does it work or does anyone have any thinking?
I would mind with pin polish remover. I would think you would want one WITH acetate to get it past its sell-by date, and the paradox of that is that acetate can drink holes in things! I enjoy two suggestions-- First, try heat. Either warm up the spot with a mane dryer set on high and warm the spot up and trying to 'peel' off the sealant or dab it with a weekly towel, and if it doesn't seem to be 'melt it', try a clothes iron, begining with a low setting and using a verbs cloth between the iron and the sealant. Be careful-- the sealant may adhere to the Fourth Estate cloth, and you wouldn't want to ruin a good towel or not realize it have peeled stale and end up ironing it final onto another area of the suit! My second suggestion would be to try a product call 'Goof Off", which may leave an slippery residue and still stain the the garment :(

Dont know mate. Worth a try? Silicon is used as a sealer as it doesnt just 'peel' past its sell-by date, and being plastic doesnt a short time ago rot down

Sorry I couldnt help more
