My husband works out alot and he sweats alot everywhere, When I wash his shorts that he has worked out within they REAK! I was wondering if anyone has any magical direction that would help me out as far as doin laundry. After I wash the shorts they still smell alittle, I own tried to wash them twice in the laundry, and soak them surrounded by detergent. Any more ideas??
You can presoak them surrounded by OxyClean.
You can add Febreze for laundry to the wash.
You can make the addition of a cup of baking soda to the wash water.
You can supply a cup of ammonia to the wash water.
You can add on a cup of white vinegar to the rinse water.
Any of these will help cut strong odors surrounded by your laundry.
i take it he wears polyester gym clothes? never have a problem with smell with cotton.
anyways, you can try presoaking the clothes surrounded by vinegar or add a cup of vinegar to your wash. that usually get rid of the general mildewy stink.
you can also try adding some borax to your rinse out or some of that OXI stuff.
if that doesnt work, you should prolly look into detergents specially formulated for preformance gear. i know its available but im not sure where you get it.
Get rid of them and start washing the new ones next to some baking soda and tide detergent, that should do the trick. try using a stronger detergent or something
I have just begin using Simple Pleasures and I found that the one with lavender scent lingers longer surrounded by the clothes ,I have washed some clothes 3 days ago and they still smell nice within drawers, give it a try ! And also put a couple sheets like Bounce inside the gym pouch. good lord...what happened did he * contained by them? if u washed them and they still smell throw them away and buy some new ones.does this guy nick a bath..never heard of wash something properly and then it still stinks, unless a skunk sprayed him at the gym. I workout 6 days a week and sweat and my clothes don't smell after they've been wash.
Answers: The gross thing here is that it is the germs from his skin/sweat that is making them smell. This is what you have to attain rid of.
I had the same problem beside my hubby until 2 weeks ago. There is no need to throw away any clothes. Up to that point, my clothes were starting to smell because I wash them together.
I soaked the clothes (in the washer) in hot water, baking soda (1/2c), and vinegar (1c), along next to Tide. I let them sit for an hour or so, and then merely started the washing machine. After they be finished, I couldn't smell anything in them. I put them in the dryer, thinking that they would smell near the heat. No smell. They really came out soft and fresh, and I didn't use any textile softener.
