40 gallon fishtank spilled all over runner and now the runner smells bad hold shampooed it 2 times and fabreez but still smells any other ideas formerly i have to break down and replace it?

It's probably not the carpet smelling. With that much marine you probably have done sprain to the under filling and floor. That's where the smell is coming from. You will never catch rid of the smell. It's burried deep down. I strongly suggest you buy modern carpeting. It's not a bad theory to check with your insurance first. They might replace it for you.
