My dog got sprayed by a skunk yesterday morning and we bathed him contained by tomatoe juice but he still smells for a time bit.My house smells and my cloths do to it is sooo embarasing!!!!I need help out how can i get rid of the skunk smell and how long does it ending???!!
i have the same problem this week. use 1quart of peroxide...1/4 cup baking soda...a few teaspoons of any soft soap. soak dog down (avoid getting in eyes)leave on roughly speaking 10 minutes then rinse. you may enjoy to repeat process in a few days. it take a couple weeks to totally get adjectives the smell gone. good luck!
I'd do the tomato treatment again. White vinegar will sustain to absorb the odor contained by your house, place small bowls of it around to help out on that.
I once have a dog sprayed by a skunk, we bathed her and then put tomato liquid on her (let it soak for 10 minutes or longer if you can but please avoid the head, you don't want it to take into her eyes and sting her). It takes self-control. It also takes time for the odor to subside.
The upside is, the dog will remember this and revise to stay away from skunks in the adjectives!

1 quart of Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 c. baking soda
1 tbsp. liquid soap
Mix resourcefully, lather up the dog and agree to mixture sit 1 - 15 minutes.
Before you do that, check with your vet though. Your dog may hold a known skin condition which could be aggravated by the peroxide. But this remedy be offered as advice from someone's vet.
I also noted that general public said that if you left coffee grounds contained by bowls throughout the house that will also absorb the smell. I haven't tried that, but its worth a shot!
Answers: Mix equal parts of liquid dish soap such as Dawn, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Make sure to first mix the peroxide and baking soda, so that the bakin soda will dissolve. Then add on the dish soap. Mix it well. Wash the dof contained by it. Let it sit dor 5-10 minutes. Then rinse well and condition the dog. The dish soap is a degreaser and may dry out the coat.
