I have several pairs of black jeans that aren't really black anymore, they aren't behind the times.
I wash them inside out...
contained by cold water...
near that for "darks detergent"
but they still aren't vibrant black like when I get them.
I tried that dye you get contained by the grocery store but it's not very fitting. I tried it double strength too, still no good.
Do you know of a really apt dye for black cotton jeans?
Answers:    I am a professional dyer and I can tell you a short time ago buy new jeans- it's easier and within a couple washing you'll be put money on to square one.

Cotton is dyed with a dye call procion- you can find it at most art supply store or on line. Read the directions cooperatively and the dye is NOT cheap.

You'll need approaching 4 oz for 1 pair of jeans- perchance 6 oz if they are hard to redye. So your already up to $15.00 per jean plus the time.

I one-sidedly would just chuck the black jeans- they are pretty out of style in our time anyways!!
Ask the dry cleaners!
