I am the most disorganized person ever. I moved into my fiance's house 4 years ago and I am just in a minute trying to get things organized like a middle-of-the-road person. I do not have a pantry... so I enjoy a large three shelved cupboard with two doors. I merely pulled everything out and threw away unwanted stuff... now I am about to verbs it and put stuff back... but I don't know what would be the best way so that it make sense and doesn't get out of place. The thoroughly top shelf is out of reach without a step. You can arrive at things in the front of the second shelf easily.. but stuff within the back is difficult. The left side get opened more often than the right. Where should I put what? I hold
Pastas/rices/dried lentils/beans
soups/canned beans/tuna/tomatoes and paste
baking stuff (flour/sugar/cornmeal/etc)
Bread Crumbs/panko
easy food (instant thai noodles etc)
oils/vinegars
Tea
extras from Costco (peanut butter/bbq sauce)
a few other things..
what would be the best opening?
Thanks for ideas
Answers: I always put my can foods on the bottom. You definately don't want to pull one of those out and land on your commander or foot. I would also purchase some small baskets for the top shelf to put less used items in. When you involve something you can just pull the together basket down and look for what you need instead of corresponding on a stool. I like to put all "similar to items" together. I have also purchased removable shelving to make the most of the space. Small shelves beside legs that you can store things under and put things on top of.
Just look at the stuff you hold, and decide what you use less regularly, and put that in first (toward the back on on the top shelf). Then simply keep going toward the front with most used items. simple
