I want to hire a part-time maid. What is a passable amount to pay per hour? I am thinking approaching twice per week for about 4-5 hours total. Just ample to clean bathrooms, cup, and dusting, and washing linens.
Answers: I would right to be heard 8 to 10 dollars an hour depending on their experience and reliability. Obviously it doesn't take much experience to do cleaning and laundry, so reliability is going to be the primary factor. Also, if you can trust that person surrounded by your house around your valuables, personal papers, etc. that's worth paying them a little more for.
