I have an elderly leather coat, it was not taken trouble of and is very remarkably dry. How can I repair/condition the leather to make it wearable again?
Answers: You can procure a leather care conditioner, costs in the order of $4. a bottle. I have used it and it really help. I would first use a saddle soap, it helps break open up the pores of the leather and puts some oil rear legs into it, and follow with a leather conditioner. If it is not too far gone, that should assistance. You might be able to use Neatsfoot grease on it, but I would test it first within a hidden place as it might darken the leather. You can usually grasp all those things at a leather store, or a western wear store. Sometimes a shoe store.
try saddle soap it may loosen it up... or nick too a dry cleaners most take special attention with leather.... righteous luck..
