my mom got my girls comforters, they are packed with 100% polyester, I wash and dried them and now the polyester is concrete and clumped in some places, is near a way to brand it soft again?

Answers:    I suggest you wash it again surrounded by a front load washer to be precise not too large and next dry on low temp so it doesn't dry fast and the lumps will come out better.

Just roll the lumps out between your hand and press it flat again...the lumps will soften and things will be fine.
