I have a banana republic trench coat that's nearly 3 years old, and I other had it dry cleaned, though everytime I don't see the value after had it dry cleaned. The inside collar element is dirty, and the edge along the openning of the sleeves are dirty as in good health. I don't think taking it to a dry cleaner would solve the problem, but I don't want to fade the color if I try to bath it on my own..... it's a teal color and is 100% cotton. Does anybody know any other ways where I can carry rid of the stains? The inside of the collar looks so yellow! yuck.
Answers: most cuff cleaners are staffed by people who a moment ago have a living and will do the minimum they have to to capture paid. They uncommonly do good work, but they're cheap.
If you're really averse to wash it yourself, go to a non-chain cleaner, cooperate to them, show them the problems, and ask what they think they can do.
If it IS washable (per the label), treat the stains beside Shout or OxyClean, let it sit on them for a few minutes, consequently wash contained by cold water, remove promptly and hang up to dry. DON'T add other soap, freshly let the pretreater be adjectives the soap you need (really, it probably is), afterwards remove it before the spinning is finshed and droop it on a sturdy hangar to dry.
Even if it isn't washable, it's a coat - it's designed to get showery. Hand wash the stained parts and consent to it hang gry, consequently have it cleaned.
Home dry cleaning stacks, by the way, don't really verbs. They deodorize, de-lint and probably kill some germs, but they don't verbs. I use them in between dry cleanings for some things, though.
Do you point out these stains to them when you drop it sour? Sometimes they need to know so they can data the problem areas and use a special treatment. If you have, I would try a different dry cleaners.
They put on the market these home dry cleaning kits, I've used them a few times. Its a ample bag that you put your items within, and it goes right into your dryer. I imagine it even has a treatment spray or something for stains. Worth a shot, and much cheaper - look around the grocery store laundry department for it.
