Answers:    Soft is a subjective term. Quilters cotton is a hugely non-specific term typically used to demarcate the fiber content ( 100 percent cotton) and its intended use. Even though a fabric is term "quilters cotton" , it does not have any more of a point of softness than another cotton fabric, and "softness" can change between quilters cotton.
It also depends on what you are comparing it to.
