I have a couch within my living room that has a removable cover on it that can be taken stale to be cleaned. At the moment, it is absolutely filthy. It have built up a years worth of yuckiness from (mostly drunken) friends sleeping on it, drinks being spilled, food human being dropped on it and other such things from everyday usage. The problem is that the cover is dryclean only and I really cant afford to reimburse for dry cleaning at the moment-Im a student! My flatmates dont seem penetrating to chip in any as they don't think it requests doing (theyre boys!) and they wont be living here for most of the summer anyway so I'm the only one that have to live with it.
That be an unnecessarily long backstory so here is my actual question-do you think the cover would be ok if I took it bad and just wash it at the lowest temperature within the washing mechanism and then dried it on the lenient setting of the dryer?I dont want to damage it or anything but I cant undergo to look at/smell it for any longer and I have not anything cash!
Answers: If you do it that process it might shrink or change shape!
I get a new couch cover from target on public sale for about $45. I'm betting that's probably cheaper than the dry cleaning for it.
