I was wondering if the current 5XX models would have trouble near cords and wires on the floor, because I tend to have allot of computer wires lying on the floor

Answers: My Roomba 560 does OK with cords and hearth rug trims. It sometimes goes right over it, but every immediately and then, it will drag one i.e. loose (toppling the occasion iron past its sell-by date the board). If you tie your cords in a couple of places using a lead tie, Roomba should have no problem.
