I am trying to add new race to my list of clients to clean within houses. I get down and dirty , I clean as if you would be doing spring cleanning on your own home. Laundry, wash and put away,iron if needed, windows if needed, dust, polish ,mop, vacume, dishes,bathrooms top to bottum,everything is done. i spend about 7-8 hrs at a time on one house, ( I work By myself ) This house have 5 bed rooms, formal dinning, 2 bathrooms, laundry room ,family tv room. they have pets allso (dogs) I use at hand cleaning products so there is no problem with anything.Allso I verbs out fridges ,and garages. Iam at a lst for numbers due to the drop in the economie. "Help Please"
Check the local papers and call the cleaning srvices and under cut them by a few bucks. standard rate where on earth I live is 25.00 per hour
You charge by the hour unless they provide other benefits . If you had to declare the income and discharge all taxes you charge more , 25 per hr . If not then you run down to between 10 and 15 per hr . If long travel is involved well the price goes up . In Cal I vote you need at least 100 a afternoon to survive , maybe more . I do not live in that state to rightly know the cost of living . But phone up around to others that do this work and ask what they charge as if you needed the work done your self . Contact the local Merry Maids and act like a customer. Their classified ad says that each house is individual and that their pricing take that into consideration. Since you are your own boss, you need to add some to what the cleaning service might charge.

Answers: Okay I used to clean houses surrounded by California and we used to charge 100 for large houses and 75 for small houses-that was 4 years ago. That be for basic cleaning. But with gas anyone 4 dollars a gallon you gotta raise prices. And five bedrooms! I would charge at least 150 for that house. and 100-125 for smaller houses. flawless luck And it should NOT be based on the time spent but the work done. They cant help it if it take you 10 hours to clean once you set a price you stick to it no matter how long it take
It should be based on time spent. You seem to be to know what goes into the job, so you should be capable of figure out how long it will take you. If you are purely starting and want to build up references (those who get it done usually know others that want theirs done). You want to start low and leisurely raise prices. A first time will usually require much longer than those you do on a regular basis. I would consider wages at the local nifty food places the low end. If you do a good chore they should be paying you 1 1/2 times that. If they otherwise would be using a cleaning company that charges $25 an hour or more. You want to be under their rates. You may want to rethink using their cleaning products. Once you become an expert you may find certain products are faster and do a better situation.
