I get overwhelmed because there is freshly so much stuff. I start but get distracted and loose my train of thought! Help!
Pictures of your ideal house. Do one room at a time . And present your self a few days in
between rooms. Doing this on the weekend allways tends to be the easyest.


There are adjectives kinds of organizing accepted wisdom on the Internet, that could get you motivated with so lots ideas. (googling organize). There's a site called Get Organized surrounded by particular.

But, yes, it can be overwhelming though: there's the well particular 4 box method and on and on . . .

The main problem however often boils down to purely too much "stuff."

Is the season for Tag Sales . . .
There are a few keys to it. One, don't clutch it all on at once. If you set your goal course too high, you're not going to be able to acomplish it (if you're have problems with motivation). Set up a schedule, and stick to it. Two, reward yourself as you accomplish "goals" of cleaning and clutter. After you've straightened up and cleaned your kitchen, it looks great, so "spoil" yourself a moment or two bit, whatever that may be... a DQ Blizzard, going to a movie, getting a shoulder rub from your signifigant other (if applicable and pending their contribution.) Likewise if you fail to complete a goal (within root, kids get sick, cars break down, etc.) take something out of your daylight you like to do. Three, Evaluate you're plan after one full cycle. When you look at what you've done you'll often realize it wasn't tricky at all, and now that you've done a room a light of day, or half a room a day for a week, you'll find the clutter really hasn't come support as much, and maybe you'll only requirement to worry about it saturday, monday and thursday, or anything you decide. ~~The perfect website for you is www.flylady.web She will get you going and be your lifesaver. You'll involve a trusted family member or friend to back. In the end, stuff is just "stuff" and it won't determine the feature of your life. Go ahead and let move about and get rid of the junk--but that trusted partner will help you by asking you why you want or have need of every item.

And, as others have advised--don't try to tackle it adjectives at once. Clean one cabinet or closet, and then call it virtuous. Or, set a timer and work on it for only 15 or 30 minutes. Then it won't feel approaching you're hauling the whole household out to the curb.

Or--reward yourself. Sort out the stuff, price it as you go, and later have a huge yard Dutch auction, and splurge on yourself with the proceeds.
Answers:    Look at one thing at a time, net your tasks small so you will find the completion of small taskes a reward. The reward of seeing something done will help motivate you to ask yourself these questions almost each thing you want to preserve in your home.

Her magic trick is setting a kitchen timer for fifteen minutes. YOu'd be amazed at how much you can obtain done and knowing the timer's running helps me stay focussed.
I'd also like to recommend Flylady -- even if you don't follow her suggestions, you can still craft yourself feel better!

The biggest thing is to realize that it will never be done -- but the process is worthwhile, because You Deserve a Tidy Home! When you lose your train of thought, forgive yourself -- but when you find it again, win back on and clean. Remember, you don't obligation to knock yourself out cleaning -- even a little bit of effort is better than nil.

Flylady has tons of good suggestions, and I've really enjoy some of the books she's recommended. (-: I'm still not tidy . . . yet. Maybe someday!
