I was wondering the best way to move about about cleaning a scarf I bought at a vintage shop...I plan to use it as a headscarf, but the idea of lice and whatnot on something used make me want to wash it first.is hand wash it effective enough?
Answers:    Handwash, warm water with mild detergent & a bit of disinfectant.
Rinse thoroughly after soak in tepid cloth conditioner for 10 minutes.
Hand squeeze as much liquid out of it as you can.
Dry flat. Probably the bottom of the bath would be the best place overnight.
I would any hand wash it using woolite or some other detergent for diaphanous fabrics, or take it to a dry cleaner.
