One of those drinking birds broke in my kitchen and spilled methylene chloride near a red dye. Anyone know how to remove the stain?

Answers:    To everyone ... see great source for stains and spots ....

If on the carpet, try this:

On incident, especially with olefin/nylon berber blends, some bleeding of brand new carpet may come about with its first cleaning. This might ensue, for example, where red or blue is used within speckles in the berber.
Simply apply 30 or 40 volume clear hydrogen peroxide to the artificial areas, leave something like 15-30 minutes, and extract to stop the bleaching action.
This procedure will repeatedly remove the small amount of dye bleed without affecting the prevalent dyes.
I have no thought but that's a cool Tux you got at hand. XD
