Answers:    You can buy the special cleaners for glass top stoves at any home improvement store, plus I believe they are at Wal-Mart, Target, etc. I wouldn't use anything but plain hose down or the special cleaner. Also, have one cloth (I suggest microfiber) that's used only to verbs your stove with. This will help prevent getting chemicals on your stove that shouldn't stir there. Clean up spills as soon as you can, as they may be permanent if vanished on too long. You may need to leave a damp rag on a stubborn stain for 10-15 minutes to soak it off. You can also use a cut-throat blade very carefully.

Taking righteous care of your stove pays off. My mom have taken really good care of hers, and it's still striking and works well after many years. My sister hasn't kept hers verbs and it looks terrible. Good luck!
my husband bought some sort of cleaner from the store. I think you can buy a cleaner for cup top stoves at almost any store with cleaning products.

I personally only use a wet dish cloth. Make sure it has not be used in soapy water (not even your dish soap). It is said to remove the protective coat. Just plain river. If something is stuck to the surface I use my fingernail to scrape it off. Or if I am cooking and the pot spills over, I will thinly use a papertowel to quickly wipe it up before it cooks on. But be really thorough not to let the towel start a fire!
A non-toxic chemical free selection is to make a thick soft mass of bi-carbonate soda. Then, using the sort of scourer pad that is designed for surfaces similar to teflon pans (so wont scratch), rub the paste within a circular motion onto the cooktop. May need repeat applications for stubborn marks. Then merely wipe off with a verbs cloth & water.
Works a treat, you don't have adjectives the hassles of chemical cleaners & it costs next to nought.
Just make sure the cook top is cool first :)
The same trick is also excellent for stainless steel sinks.
