Here is what happen: I hold duvet made of silk that you're only supposed to dry-clean, not clean up like I did. After wash it the silk became scratchy and tremendously unpleasant to touch. Any ideas how to engineer it soft and "silky" again?
Thanks in credit.
Answers: Rewash the duvet with a bit of gooey fabric softener, after put it in the dryer on the "nouns dry" cycle. As long as absolutely no warmth is used, the silk will be fine.
I do this with adjectives my silk products, including my king-sized quilted silk bedspread.
Good luck!
