* Caring for Satin Sheets -
Satin sheets require more thoroughness than regular cotton sheets, particularly when it comes to wash.
General care: Satin made of silk and nylon should be shielded from the sun, so if you hold a bright sunny room, go for acetate or polyester satin.

* Polyester: Polyester is pretty much the most durable fabric. Similar care to nylon, but undisruptive to line dry. Again, to avoid pilling, hand-wash when possible.

* Nylon: Nylon is somewhat durable, and is generally domestic device washable, even in a middle-of-the-road cycle. Use warm or cool hose only, and step light on detergent.
