Put the item surrounded by the freezer and pop the wax off when hard. Then iron it between two pieces of weekly until it's out, changing the paper as it absorb the wax. Then wash as usual, only pretreat the wax beside a shot of soap or pretreater, scrub a little first.

Answers:    Pour boiling water through the wax and it should just rinse away. Works for me every time I breed a mess...which is often as a candle maker.

put the denim in the deepfreeze to freeze the wax. next scrape it off.
