How do I shrink this sweater? I bought this sweater from hollister cause i love it and it...

I bought this sweater from hollister cause i love it and it be on sale. The lone problem is it's a L and i'm a S (please don't lecture me roughly speaking buying clothes my size; I don't like really tight sweaters) but I be wondering how to shrink it. The tag say machine bath in heat up water and tumble dry prevailing conditions. I think I should rinse out it in cold marine but which will work better, by hand or mechanism? Should I lay it flat to dry or throw it in the dryer?
How can i catch the cigarette smell out...
Answers:    You entail to wash it surrounded by a 90o wash, consequently put it on the hottest setting in the tumble dryer for the longest possible. (Slight overusage of power) but if it for a really nice pullover, then it is worth it!!

Try doing it a couple of times if it doesnt shrink plenty first time
