They suggest soaking in a mixture of 1/4 cup lemon juice for every 4 cups of wet ¨C or ¨C 1 cup white vinegar for every 4 cups of water and allow it to soak overnight. Not sure how you can soak a counter top without it drying out. Maybe soak a towel and cover the rust spot overnight.

Answers:    i've used an sos or brillo pad amazingly lightly over the stains. just type of gently rub. kind of adjust the pressure as needed. its worked for me. mind not to rub too hard and scratch the surface righteous luck
