Answers:    We always draw a diagram (kinda resembling tracing) the hook up to the wall..then if we don't find impossible to tell apart hook up with the desired dryer, we enjoy them change the plug.

the first entity is it a 3 wire or 4 chain? if its a three wire you put the white line in the middle and the red and black lead can go on any side of the white wire... if its a 4 flex it is hooked up the same passageway but the forth wire witch is green is used as a external ground... if its a up to date dryer when you remove the access panel the will be a bolt painted green and you connect it there.. hope this help
