i have some prehistoric stains on my carpet from drinks spilling on them, and two throw up stains (one from me and one from my dog).
I own this electrolux carpet cleaner (http://www.vacuumman.com/images/carpet/f... but ive used it back and it didnt clean the stains resourcefully.

I was wondering if anything i could buy at the store or within was anything else i could do (besides buy hot carpet) to clean my runner and make it look better
Answers: We only rented one of those carpet cleaners from Lowe's and my husband used Tide near febreeze. Not only does it form your house smell so good but it also take the stains out!
Rent a steam cleaner from Wal-Mart or Hardware store etc...Or you could have it professionally cleaned.:)
