I tried airing it out but I think it's stuck.
Change the hearth rug? Lol.
Answers: Day 1: Douse area next to vomit smell with apple cider vinager (it's going to be a strong smell, but this will work)
Day 2: Do your best to go and get the vinager up with marine and a cloth. Put fan over raining spot to dry. Once dry mix Dawn dishsoap with wet. Pour over area and rub into the mat. You want to make greatly of lather.
Let sit for roughly an hour. Once lather have gone down into the carpet, vacuum.
Day 3: Vacuum again
This works everytime!
I would try Hydrogen Peroxide. Just be sure to experiment a strand of the carpet, any cut one out, or apply a bit in a corner or surrounded by a closet and wait for it to dry to spawn sure it won't fade. The last three places I own lived, I have used Hydrogen Peroxide on adjectives sorts of nasty pet stains contained by my carpet, and it removes both stain and odor lacking fading or injurious the carpet. And a huge bottle is individual .89 cents at Target. Just pour some on the stain/problem spot and leave it for a few minutes, it might foam and turn white, that's the HydrogenPeroxide drinking up the starches. After a few minutes soak it up with a verbs, white rag (so no color bleeds from your scarf into the rug), give it a short time rinse with dampen if you like and your done. I'm sure it will work. Good Luck!
