Have you tried baking soda? A paste of baking soda, and a bit water should work. Use a soft cloth, Also a little vinegar/water mixuter poured within the steam hole will clean out any firm water deposits. Just turn the iron on beside steam, and iron a towel, to get the steam working, later empty the hose down, and rinse with cold hose.
