How can I hose my handkerchief? I know it's not a nice topic, but my handkerchiefs are packed...

I know it's not a nice topic, but my handkerchiefs are packed with dry mucus and call for to be washed. Soaking contained by hot water hasn't really worked surrounded by the past - they mucus still clings to the textile, and pretty much needs to be scraped past its sell-by date. Surely there's a better way!
