I live in Italy, so using dryer sheets isn't an remedy (I can't even say that I've notice them here, since most people don't own dryers). Unfortunately, string drying doesn't eliminate static cling - I know, because it's the simply option I own. Now that Winter is here, I need to know how to wear my snuggliest sweaters, but some of them have such desperate static cling that it's impossible.
Help!
Answers: * Fabric Softeners are Cationic (meaning +ively charged) therefore will neutralize static cling (or -ive charges) from polyester and woolen fabric.
- Add fabric softener to final rinse to neutralize static and freshen cloths.
* Do away next to static cling -
Keep a used fabric softener sheet surrounded by your dresser drawer.
Or keep a humid sheet in a fastener lock bag and rub it over your jersey to neutralize static charge at any time.
Good Luck!!
Do you have stuff softener that can be used in the rinse cycle?
